The Co-Creation Cycle can be broken down into three parts. The Friendly, The Inquiry and The Action. We use these as ways to structure our events and expand our movement. The best part is that you can jump into the cycle at any point! Find something that takes your fancy and get involved at your own pace.
Friendly events are designed to engage as many people as possible. From people who normally donate their time, to people who would normally have no interest. Friendly events can come in many different forms. While not finalised we could have art sessions, family sports days, coffee mornings or just anything to get us talking and involved with those in our community. These friendly events hopefully lead to more people getting involved with Inquiry and Action events.
Inquiry events are more about asking questions and coming up with solutions. We can look at the problems our island faces and imagine ways of combating them. Keep your eyes peeled for an event that you want to have your say in. Our hope is that these Inquiry events will help us create the best Friendly and Action events we can on topics the community really cares about.
Action events involve getting out and taking action to improve our community. Be it litter picking days, campaigning with our partners for a better democracy or community trips out to engage with local businesses or museums. Anything that has us taking action to improve our area directly. These Actions highlight how important the Friendlys are to bringing in volunteers.
