A Green New Deal could save Sheppey. The vision of the Green New Deal we promote is one that will radically transform our economy and our society.
One that values meaningful work, which improves society without damaging the environment
We must continue to invest in affordable and renewable energy
Buying Local boosts the economy and creates jobs
Putting teachers, carers, emergency and healthcare workers at the heart of the low carbon economy
We believe everyone should have access to public transport
Provide the funds necessary for previously deprived communities to thrive
Having a say in the decisions that affect us all and a vote that really matters
Everyone should have ready access to nature
The wealth and jobs generated on our island will benefit the people that live and work here
To protect the future of life on Earth, we need to do more than just reimagine the economy - we have to change everything.
Economic change is fully possible, but only when we understand that finance, the economy and the ecosystem are all tightly connected. The Green New Deal demands total decarbonisation and a commitment to an economy based on fairness and social justice. It proposes a radical new understanding of how we see ourselves, our local, and our planet.
Change is possible when we all come together to take back control of what is rightfully ours.
